Stories straight from the heart!
Hey there! My name is Author A. Joseph Claycomb, I have spent my professional life serving in the U.S. Air Force, working on, inspecting, and managing aircraft maintenance. During "down-time" I have written college papers, editorials, and books throughout the years. As my professional career winds down to a prospective closure within the next year, my passion will turn to full-time writing of Children's books, many of which I have carried in thought for the last 20-plus years. As a family man, I focus my books in a way that brings subject matters of faith, perseverance, hope, and belief to young minds. The following stories bring positive, simple but educated messages that kids will love to read, and of which parents will appreciate and approve just as much! You will never find any false innuendos or hidden messages; these books are genuinely for families wanting to spread the concepts of hope, love, and perseverance. Many more writing projects are "in the works" for me, I will stay true to the core concepts within my writings. Furthermore, I am always open to all requests for information, interviews, and other media, to assist in spreading my effort of sharing the good word. My contact information can be found at the bottom of the page. Thank you for your support!
Cute-Nose Now; The Story of Brenda
The Story of Brenda is about a pre-adolescent girl named Brenda who has a great imagination, but craves attention at home and school. It lends comfort, acceptance and maybe just a touch of humor to those who maybe feel that they are in a situation similar to what Brenda feels. This book will let the reader know that imagination and sometimes silliness are fine, and that friendships are valued. Most importantly, those in a like-minded situation are perfectly normal, and happy. In fact, they are a lot more happy, intelligent, forgiving, and loving than those who seem to "have it all".
Maisley's Moon
Maisley's Moon is a delightful short picture-book story about a little girl named Maisley who is fascinated with the moon outside her bedroom window at bedtime. It portrays how her Mom lovingly capitalizes on her daughter's curiosity about the moon to teach her about faith in things that aren't always obvious to a five-year-old. Mom continues this opportunity to teach Maisley about the importance, in particular, of having faith and love for Jesus.
Emerald's Big Black Spider Struggle
An unbelievably amazing story about a boy visiting his grandma during the summer again. It’s a lesson about a deepening appreciation of love, hope, giving, sharing, and developing a bond with those around us, as well as others. Emerald has stayed with Grandma the past two summers and her and Emerald’s love continues to grow, but this is the third summer without Grandpa; so that bond with Grandpa can’t continue to flourish right... or can it?
Summers
This book is the conclusion of the “Brenda” Series! Brenda entails how she, before her parents’ eyes, grew from a young girl to a capable young lady while the world went by. Every parent cherishing their children will appreciate this book. It is filled with moments that speak to parents of children young and old alike.
